During brief, but event-filled trip to eastern Canada Aug. 8-11, President Thomas S. Monson, first counselor in the First Presidency, dedicates marker – honoring Latter-day Saints who brought the message of the restored gospel to the area.

President Monson, who served as president of the Canadian Mission from 1959 to 1962, also attended a testimony meeting in the Kingston Branch chapel, spoke to missionaries from the Canada Toronto East Mission, presided over the Trenton district conference, and participated in numerous other activities.See articles about his trip on pages 3, 8-10.
