ASSIN FOSO, Ghana — Some 100 members of the Assin Foso Ghana District took part in a community service project Nov. 4 at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital here. Members weeded the grounds, cleaned drainage ditches and swept streets. Inside, they mopped floors and cleaned walls. Upon completion of the three-hour service project, participants presented hospital patients with food, including rice, bread, milk, bananas, sugar cane and others items donated by Church members.
The "Sister-in-Charge" of the hospital expressed the heartfelt appreciation of all the recipients for the work done and the generous donations given. She said that the management and staff of the hospital were overwhelmed by the members' service. She said that the service brought a change in the whole hospital atmosphere.
