Elder R. Conrad Schultz biography

Family: Born March 11, 1938, in North Bend, Ore., to Ralph C. and Dorothy Bushong Schultz; married Carolyn Lake, daughter of Ralph B. and Helen McDonough Lake, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12, 1961; five children, Stephen C., 38 (Pam); Susan C. Foutz, 35 (Harold); Scott C., 33 (Mikell); Jared C., 30 (Deeann); Sally C. Forsgren, 24 (Brad); nine grandchildren.

Education: Received bachelor's degree in political science in 1962 and juris doctorate in 1965 from University of Oregon; attended BYU in general education.

Employment: Worked for the law firm of Thompson, Mumford, Woodrich from 1965-1970; was a partner with Hill and Schultz from 1970-1988; headed his own firm, R. Conrad Schultz, from 1988-1992; and Schultz and Associates from 1992-1999.

Church service: Serving as president of the Colorado Denver South Mission at time of calling to Second Quorum of the Seventy; former stake president, counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and counselor in mission presidency.
