Dec. 8 — Temple Square Concert Series: Tickets for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square Christmas concert are no longer available. However, standby admittance will begin at 7:15 p.m. for those without tickets. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center.
Dec. 14 — Temple Square Concert Series: The Salt Lake Symphony will perform Corelli's Christmas Concerto; Introduction, March, and Shepherd's Dance from "Amahl and the Night Visitors" by Menotti; Fantasy on "Greensleeves" by Ralph Vaughan Williams; Suite No. 2 from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker," and Christmas Music by Joio. Assembly Hall, 7:30 p.m. Free admission.
Dec. 15 — Temple Square Concert Series: The Eleanor Kennard Chorale, directed by Eleanor Kennard, will present its annual Christmas concert in the Assembly Hall, 8 p.m. Free admission.
Through Dec. 31 — Museum of Church History and Art: "International Creche Display." A recently acquired creche from Sweden will be shown. The creche was created by Gerd Sjokvist, a prominent professional contemporary Latter-day Saint folk artist from Mockfjard. In all, 16 creche scenes and four paintings will be on exhibit. Museum hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays. The Museum will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and will be closed Christmas and New Year's Day. Free admission.
