REXBURG, Idaho — BYU-Idaho faculty member Michael Tatum has become president of the College of Micronesia on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Brother Tatum, who has taught sociology and criminal justice here since 1989, took a two-year professional leave of absence to pursue this new career opportunity. The state college is located in Kolonia, Pohnpei, and has five campuses on four islands.
For the past two years, Brother Tatum has chaired the International Studies Program at BYU-Idaho. He has been involved in the Partners for Americas Fellowship in International Development.
