"Perhaps the greatest thing that can happen to you on your mission is to have experiences with the gift of the Holy Ghost. You were confirmed a member of the Church, and thereafter, as a member of the Church, you had the gift of the Holy Ghost conferred upon you. . . .
"As an agent of the Lord, a servant of the Lord, the quiet miracle that may happen is becoming acquainted with and witnessing the operation of the Holy Ghost in your life. You will also see it in a visible way in the lives of those you teach. . . .
"Now, you are chosen vessels of the Lord. You elders and sisters have been called and set apart as His servants. The brethren have been ordained. Prior to that time, you were baptized by water and confirmed members of the Church and had conferred upon you the gift of the Holy Ghost. . . .
"The great blessing you will receive is to become familiar with the still small voice and learn that this voice will 'tell all things that ye must do.' The word we use to describe this communication is promptings, the way we feel. These promptings can come many times, through many experiences. That is the voice of the Lord speaking."
