PORT VILA, Vanuatu — Members from the neighboring islands of Malekula and Santo who traveled here by air to see President Gordon B. Hinckley June 19 were finally able to return home, according to Mariella Kaun, district public affairs director.
The air charter on which they originally planned to return was canceled but a ship was contracted. Before leaving, the young men from Port Vila 1st Branch held a social night in honor of the visiting members.
At 6 p.m. on June 27, the ship departed as "tears were shed because of friendships. All are safe and now with their families."
