Aid for Asia from arts festival

TACOMA, Wash. — Six stakes in the Tacoma, Wash., area are undertaking an ambitious cultural arts program, "The Mormon Festival of the Arts," giving Church members opportunities to socialize and be better neighbors in their communities. Six events featuring choral, drama and youth groups began in January with "A Night at the Opera," and will end in December 2005.

At the first event, Jan. 8, funds were collected for victims of the southern Asia tsunamis.
