Home considered lost to flooding creek

OJAI, Calif. — The home of a member family in the Ojai 2nd Ward, Ventura California Stake, was lost to a flooding creek as severe rain storms blitzed Southern California over several days. Stake President Gary K. Wilde said the flooding creek sent a flow of three feet of water through the home and eroded the creek bed to within two feet of the home's foundation. He said the home will likely be condemned and the family is currently staying with other ward members.

Seven homes of Church members in the mudslide area of La Conchita have so far escaped property damage, according to Santa Barbara California Stake President David W. Magnusson.
