PROVO, Utah — Between 17,000 and 18,000 women from throughout the Church gathered May 3-4 on the campus of BYU for the 2007 Women's Conference, an annual event for many of them.
Leslie Peterson of South Jordan, Utah, is one of them. For some 20 years she has joined with family members for women's conference, taking classes based on "the stage of life you're in." Now as a near-empty-nester, she sat on the steps of the Marriott Center between sessions on Thursday afternoon, May 3. She said she most loves the "group spirit with all the women" during classes and service projects. (See photo above.)
This week the Church News is featuring coverage of the closing session address by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and his wife, Sister Patricia T. Holland. Further coverage will follow in the weeks to come.
