LDS teachers honored nationally

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Four LDS school teachers were recently honored nationally in Washington, D.C. Receiving the 2006 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, were Leneda Laing of the Athens Branch, Chattanooga Tennessee Stake, who teaches math at Cleveland Middle School; Antinette Haggerty of the Cove Ward, Cedar City Utah North Stake, who teaches science at Cedar Middle School; Andrea Mathews of the Sage Creek Ward, Washington Utah Buena Vista Stake, who teaches 1st grade at Sandstone Elementary; and Jennifer Doss of the Macon Ward, Macon Georgia Stake, who teaches math at Alexander II Math and Science Magnet (elementary) School.
