New temple presidents

Paul Brown Hansen, 66, Merced 1st Ward, Merced California Stake, called as president of the Fresno California Temple, succeeding President Noel G. Stoker. President Hansen’s wife, Judith Lynne Horne Hansen, will serve as temple matron. Currently serving as a counselor in the Fresno California Temple presidency, he has previously served as a stake president’s counselor, bishop, branch president, stake Young Men president and high councilor. A retired oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he was born in Hollister, Calif., to Wayne and Leona Esther Brown Hansen.

Sister Hansen serves as an assistant to the matron of the Fresno California Temple, previously served in stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, and as a ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president. She was born in Boston, Mass., to Conrad Phyll and Leila Rae Welling Horne.

Charles Raymond Lowry, 62, Lisburn Ward, Belfast Northern Ireland Stake, called as president of the London England Temple, succeeding President Michael R. Fagg. President Lowry’s wife, Margaret Irene Morris Lowry, will serve as temple matron. Currently a counselor in the Ireland Dublin Mission presidency, he previously served as the president of the England Birmingham Mission, stake president, bishop and high councilor. A retired owner of a jewelry retail store, he was born in Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, to Charles Henry and Eileen Coulter Lowry.

Sister Lowry serves as a Relief Society teacher, served with her husband as he presided over the England Birmingham Mission. She has also served as a counselor in ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary presidencies and as stake Family History consultant. She was born in Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, to Ronald and Eileen Monroe Morris.
