Calendar of events for May 28, 2011

JUNE 3 — Concerts in the Park will feature Wasatch & District Pipe Band at 7:30 p.m. in Brigham Young Historic Park on the corner of State St. and 2nd Ave., Salt Lake City. Admission is free. For more information, call 801-240-3323.

JUNE 3 — Temple Square Performances will present “Messiah in America,” an oratorio depicting Christ’s visit to the American continent, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle. Tickets are required; the performance is sold out but a standby line will form at the flagpole on Temple Square.

JUNE 4 —Nicolas, William and Nathaniel Hagen will perform pieces for piano and violin as part of the Families Making Music concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall.

CONTINUING — Free one-hour tours of the gardens surrounding Church headquarters are available Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. at door 15 of the Conference Center or 12 p.m. at the Church Office Building Plaza; Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Church Office Building Plaza; or Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the east gate of Temple Square.

DAILY — Organists perform 30-minute recitals in the Tabernacle at noon and the Conference Center at 2 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
