Shaun D. Stahle

Shaun Stahle is an editor in the visual/editorial department of the Deseret News. His assignment is to help readers make sense of a changing world by selecting the best written and most comprehensive articles of the day from various wire services, and then design the news for print in an appealing, easy to digest format. Stahle has worked in the news business for more than 40 years, beginning as a 5 year old by taking newspapers off the printing press at his grandfather's community newspaper. Over the years, he has learned every aspect of the publication business. The thrill of communicating with the masses never grows old. Spare moments are spent hiking or biking or gardening. Interests include anything dealing with the Middle East from history to current affairs — especially Israel. Shaun and his wife, Becky, are parents of four active children who live in Bountiful, Utah. His favorite movie is "The Sound of Music" which took place in Austria where he served an LDS mission.
