In preparation for the worldwide youth devotional to be held in the Conference Center on June 3 with President Russell M. Nelson and his wife, Sister Wendy W. Nelson, the prophet issued a “special invitation” in a video on the Church’s social media accounts for youth around the world.
“We invite you to read from the Book of Mormon every day between now and June 3,” he said in the video posted on May 2. “Also, in your personal prayers, ask the Lord to prepare your heart and mind to hear what He is eager to teach you.”
Stating that he and his wife, “can hardly wait for Sunday June 3 when we will be with you once again,” President Nelson encouraged youth to gather with others wherever they are located around the world.
“We invite you to gather in groups or with your families to watch this broadcast together,” he said.
President Nelson said the couple’s remarks will focus on “who you are, and who our Heavenly Father needs you to be.”
The broadcast will start at 6 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, and will be transmitted live on the Church satellite system, LDS.org, YouTube and other digital channels.
“I hope the youth of the Church will see this event as a precious opportunity to hear the voice of the Lord speaking to them through His prophet,” said Sister Nelson, in a news brief on LDS.org. “I hope our time together will give each young man and each young woman a vision of who they truly are and who their Father in Heaven wants them to become.”
