President Ballard, Elder Gerard pray at opening of 2019 Utah legislative session

A pair of leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offered invocations on the opening day of Utah's 2019 legislative session on Monday, Jan. 28.

President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, offered the prayer in the Utah House of Representatives, while Elder Jack N. Gerard, a General Authority Seventy, offered the same in the Utah Senate.

President Ballard met with current House Speaker Brad Wilson as well as several former speakers of the House.
