Video: This photographer has experienced the Super Bowl and the Olympics, but nothing like this beautiful photo

Deseret News and Church News photographer Jeffrey Allred has witnessed a number of incredible events in his life. But the opportunity to photograph the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the Rome Italy Temple Visitors' Center is now among the top of the list.

"I've been on the frontlines of history for 30 years as a photographer," he said. "I've been to Super Bowls, I've been to Olympics and this is probably one of the highlights of my career."

Allred took all the steps to make sure the picture would be just right. But the day before the photo shoot when he started getting corrupt files on his camera, he decided to make it a matter of prayer that he wouldn't miss the photo.

The next morning, though, everything fell into place — and it's something Allred will never forget.

"This photo's going to last forever. It's going to last longer than you and I," he said. "It was just a beautiful scene."
