This Week on Social: Want to learn more about your favorite general conference talks? Just turn to Facebook

Following each general conference session, Church leaders took to social media to post short clips and excerpts from their addresses, photos and more background information about the stories they shared. Here is a gallery of what each member of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as well as several women leaders, shared on Facebook following each session.

Saturday morning

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Through the incessant din and drumbeat of our day, may we strive to see Christ at the center of our lives, our faith, and our service. That is where true meaning lies. #GeneralConference

Sister Michelle Craig, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency

Young Women

In this morning’s session of General Conference, I testified that personal revelation is foundational as we embrace the changes that have been announced. And now I bear witness that as we focus on deliberate discipleship – finding out what it is the Lord wants us to do, and how he wants us to do it – we will become more like Him and our spiritual capacity to receive revelation will increase. As a Young Women general presidency, we have felt the Lord’s guiding hand and some very sweet revelatory moments as changes in the Young Women organization have been discussed, revealed, and prayed over. I bear testimony that our Heavenly Father cares about the smallest of details – if those details are in a church organization, or if they are in the life of a deliberate disciple. Please enjoy this brief video that highlights the recent changes announced in the Young Women organization. President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency

Today at general conference I discussed what we know about the spirit world. I also shared that we should be cautious to not speculate about things we do not know. What we do know about the spirit world is that the Father’s and the Son’s work of salvation continues there. Our Savior initiated the work of declaring liberty to the captives, and that work continues as worthy and qualified messengers continue to preach the gospel, including repentance, to those who still need its cleansing effect. This is all made possible because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. As we know from modern revelation, He “glorifies the Father, and saves all the works of his hands” (Doctrine and Covenants 76:43). #GeneralConference

Saturday afternoon

Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Today I shared an experience Susan and I had observing cheetahs and topis in Africa. We discussed this experience with our children and grandchildren and identified many valuable lessons, three of which I shared in #GeneralConference today.I invite and encourage you to reflect on this episode with the cheetahs and the topis and identify additional lessons for you and your family. Please remember always that your home is the true center of gospel learning and living. As you respond in faith to this invitation, inspired thoughts will come to your mind, spiritual feelings will swell in your heart, and you will recognize actions that should be undertaken or continued.

President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency

My dear sisters in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you are divinely assigned guardians of the eternal family. I prayerfully sought inspiration to speak to you tonight. For reasons we do not understand, we have different challenges in our mortal experiences. But we do know that God will help each of us overcome these challenges if we sincerely seek His help.Meanwhile, we must try to keep both of the Lord’s great commandments. To do so we walk a fine line between law and love—keeping the commandments and walking the covenant path, while loving our neighbors along the way. This walk requires us to seek divine inspiration on what to support and what to oppose and how to love and listen respectfully and teach in the process. Our walk demands that we not compromise on commandments but show forth a full measure of understanding and love. In all of this we remember that God promises hope and ultimate joy and blessings for all who keep His commandments.

President Russell M. Nelson

My dear sisters, I hope you understand that the heavens are just as open to women who are endowed with God’s power flowing from their priesthood covenants as they are to men who bear the priesthood. I pray that truth will register upon each of your hearts because I believe it will change your life. Sisters, you have the right to draw liberally upon the Savior’s power to help your family and others you love. #GeneralConference

Sunday morning

Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

I was grateful for the chance to speak today at #GeneralConference. Recently I have felt the strong impression that God, our Heavenly Father, loves us more and knows us better than we love or know ourselves. Faith in Jesus Christ and personal change (repentance) bring mercy, grace, forgiveness. These comfort the hurt, loneliness, injustice we experience in mortality. Being God, our Heavenly Father wants us to receive God’s greatest gift—His joy, His eternal life. With us at the beginning, He is with us, in all our covenant belonging, to the end.

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Your Great Adventure

I love general conference. In my family, we like to share what we felt and learned with each other after the conference is over. This is what we will do today, and it is what I hope you will do too. Don’t be afraid to share what the Spirit taught you this weekend with those you love.As I mentioned in my talk, everyone has a meaningful story to share. Sometimes your stories make people laugh. Sometimes they bring them to tears. Sometimes they will help people to continue in patience, resilience, and courage to face another hour, another day and come a little closer to God.So do not hide your faith. Do not bury it. Talk about your journey in normal and natural ways. Remember the glorious message we have to share: because of Jesus Christ, every man, woman, and child can return home safely to their heavenly home and there dwell in glory and righteousness. #GeneralConference

President Russell M. Nelson

My dear brothers and sisters, you are living exemplars of the fruits that come from following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I thank you! I love you!Because of your exemplary lives, your generous hearts, and your helping hands, it is no wonder that many communities and government leaders are praising your efforts. As I have visited you across the globe, you have strengthened my faith. May the Lord continue to bless you as you “bear one another’s burdens,” “mourn with those that mourn,” and “comfort those that stand in need of comfort” (Mosiah 18:8–9). #GeneralConference
