This week on social media, Church leaders used social media to reinforce specific parts of their October 2022 general conference messages. Following each session, members of the First Presidency, Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and organizational presidencies posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Below is a look at each social media post from those leaders and other posts from this past week.
President Russell M. Nelson
President Nelson shared three different posts over the weekend. In one he provided an explanation of his use of a chair used to deliver his conference message.
“I may not ski black diamond runs anymore, but whether standing or seated, I delight in speaking and hearing words of truth,” he wrote in that post. He also noted that he has been alive for nearly half of the time the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored.
President Nelson addressed the topic of abuse at the end of Saturday’s morning session.
“[The Lord] grieves and I grieve whenever anyone is harmed. He mourns, and we all mourn, for each person who has fallen victim to abuse of any kind,” he said. “Those who perpetrate these hideous acts are not only accountable to the laws of man, but will also face the wrath of Almighty God.”
The following day, President Nelson shared counsel on how to “Overcome the World and Find Rest.”
President Dallin H. Oaks
President Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency of the Church, opened October’s conference with a message of cooperation and commitment toward the alleviation of poverty.
President Henry B. Eyring
President Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency, spoke Sunday afternoon and taught about overcoming adversity.
President M. Russell Ballard
President Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, encouraged members of the Church to follow the Savior in faith.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
Music at general conference can encourage reverence and open the door for the Holy Ghost to inspire conference viewers. This week the choir asked its followers on Facebook if they had a favorite song from the weekend and shared a video of “You Can Make the Pathway Bright” from the Sunday morning session.
Book of Mormon Videos
Church leaders used social media during and after general conference weekend to share about the newest season of the Book of Mormon Videos. The video features Jesus Christ’s appearance to the ancient American people and His teaching to them.

President Nelson showed a preview of the newest season as a part of his closing remarks in Sunday afternoon’s session of general conference. He posted that video when conference concluded.

Sister Craig, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency, posted this week about the release of the newest season of Book of Mormon Videos.
