The 2024 Seminary and Institutes of Religion annual broadcast will include counsel and instruction from Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles; Elder Clark G. Gilbert, the commissioner of the Church Educational System; and Chad H Webb, the Church’s administrator of seminaries and institutes.
The training broadcast — held each year for instructors, administrators and other CES employees — will be available to view on Friday, Jan. 26, according to a news release on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
The one-hour event will be accessible for study and review in Gospel Library and can be found under Handbooks and Callings -> Seminaries and Institutes -> S&I Broadcasts -> Annual Broadcasts.
The broadcast will be translated into 40 languages. The notice on ChurchofJesusChrist.org says all CES employees are invited and encouraged to watch the broadcast after it is made available in their languages.
Program administrators may plan larger gatherings to watch the broadcast as well as schedule in-service meetings to discuss and implement the messages. Coordinators may select portions of the broadcast that would be beneficial for training their stake seminary and institute teachers.

During last year’s training, Webb announced changes to the official objective statement and seminary credit requirements, while Elder Gilbert announced five prophetic emphases for seminary and institute students, influenced by the teachings of President Russell M. Nelson and other Church leaders.
Young Men General President Steven J. Lund also offered remarks.
In 2022, the late President M. Russell Ballard, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, shared how seminary blessed his life while growing up in a family that didn’t attend church.
And in 2021, then-Relief Society General President Jean B. Bingham urged seminary and Institute teachers to be sure to provide students with “spiritual meat.”
