Former mission presidents, Church general board members and others who died recently

F. Curtis Wynder, 92, who presided over the Canada Montreal Mission from 1981-1984, died on Aug. 5, 2018, in Provo, Utah.

Timothy Dean Benedict, 70, who served on the Church curriculum committee working on the George Albert Smith manual, died on Sept. 3, 2018, while he and his wife were serving in the Baltic Mission in Estonia.

Louise M. Lambourne, 85, who served with her husband, Gerald B. Lambourne, who presided over the Colorado Denver Mission from 1975-1978, died on Sept. 4, 2018, in Holladay, Utah.

A. Sherman Gowans, 100, who presided over the Norwegian Mission from 1949-1952, during which time he helped with the publication of the Book of Mormon into Norwegian, died on Sept. 7, 2018, in Syracuse, Utah.

Linda Susanna Campbell Davis, 76, who served with her husband, Ebbie Davis, as he presided over the Fiji Suva Mission from 1972-1975, died on Sept. 13, 2018, in North Salt Lake, Utah. She also served as matron of the Suva Fiji Temple from 2011-2014

Billy Bruce Cowser, 93, who presided over the New Zealand Auckland Mission from 1978-1981, served in the Provo MTC presidency, and served as a Regional Representative in Australia and in the U.S. Central States area, died on Sept. 18, 2018, in Lindon, Utah.

Ruth Horne Lundgren, 97, who served on the Primary general board from 1970-1980, died on Sept. 18, 2018, in Salt Lake City.

Lawrence Edward Welling, 92, who presided over the West Virginia Charleston Mission from 1990-1993, and served as a Regional Representative and in the Bountiful Utah Temple presidency, died on Sept. 30, 2018, in Kaysville, Utah.
