Update on missionaries injured in car accident in British Columbia

Elder Bryant Keck, 19, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from serious injuries following a car accident on Sept. 13.

Elder Keck, from Sanford, Colorado, and his companion, Elder Dallin Thompson, 19, from Sahuarita, Arizona, were driving when their vehicle collided with a truck in Kamloops, British Columbia. Elder Thompson remains in the hospital in critical condition.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Elder Keck as they mourn his passing and honor his life and missionary service,” said Church spokesman Daniel Woodruff.

“We continue to pray for Elder Thompson and his family as well as the individuals in the other vehicle. We hope everyone involved in this tragedy will feel the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit during this difficult time.”

Elder Keck had been serving since June 2018. He passed away with his mother by his side.
