The Church News — an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is striving to be “A Living Record of the Restoration” — is launching a new product that will help inform and inspire Latter-day Saints and connect them to the Church and its leaders.
Starting Monday, the Church News will send a new daily email newsletter. This email will provide three pieces of information each day:
- The top Church News story. This will help members know what is happening around the world and will include messages of inspiration from Church leaders, updates on their ministries, or important announcements.
- A feature about gospel living. This will highlight the experiences of Latter-day Saints and how they love and serve others — including profiles of members and their personal stories.
- A short how-to or “did you know” section. This can help subscribers remember something that has significance that day.
With so much information available through social media, apps and websites, this email aims to help members focus each day on those stories that will inform, inspire and prepare — eliminating the needing to cut through disinformation and distractions.
President Nelson counseled, “Despite the world’s commotion, the Lord would have us look forward to the future ‘with joyful anticipation.’”
This new email is designed to “rise above the commotion and help members see the joy that can come from living the gospel,” said Church News editor Sarah Jane Weaver.
Church News will continue to offer the This Week in Church News weekly digest email newsletter with links to stories published throughout the week.
Church News articles are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
