COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Alan Ashby, a former professional baseball player with the Cleveland Indians, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Houston Astros, spoke to more than 100 youth gathered for a multi-ward fireside here Jan. 16. He is a member of the Cypress Ward, Cypress Texas Stake.
Youth leaders said the young people, members of the College Station Texas Stake, received a better understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ during the fireside.
Brother Ashby testified to the youth that Christ will help them when they are discouraged.
