Hyrum Smith statue
A bronze statue of Hyrum Smith, martyred in Carthage Jail with his brother, the Prophet Joseph Smith, stands in the northern Utah town named for the early Church member.
Located at the city park in Hyrum, Utah, just south of Logan in Cache Valley, the statue was dedicated July 4, 1999, by Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve.
D. J. Bawden of Provo, Utah, created the sculpture, made possible by more than 260 people who donated money, materials, time and labor.
