Helping children in Slovakia, Croatia

ZOETERMEER, Netherlands — Relief Society sisters in the Wassenaar Branch here worked together to make quilts for orphanages in Slovakia and Croatia. Inspired by Jet and Bert Kempen, who have been collecting clothing and toys for the children, the sisters completed six quilts that were tied on old tables in the foyer of the Leiden meetinghouse. The project, said B.J. Springer, was a "lovely reminder that though there is much pain and heartache in the world, there are also sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father trying to do what they can to help."
