Conference Center Theater
Experience the wonder and splendor of music and dance as internationally acclaimed Brigham Young University performing groups take the stage in Salt Lake City with BYU Winterfest 2012. Over the course of several weekends, Vocal Point, BYU Singers and Concert Choir, Theatre Ballet, the Young Ambassadors, and Contemporary Dance Theatre will dazzle audiences with performances showcasing a variety of artistic tastes. The BYU Winterfest 2012 provides entertainment for audiences of all ages. As part of the Temple Square Performances, Winterfest shows will be held in the Conference Center Theater. Ring in the New Year with a celebration of the arts with this year’s performances.
Choral Showcase - Saturday, January 28
The Choral Showcase features the combined talents of BYU’s Concert Choir and BYU Singers. With a repertoire that includes classical, contemporary, and culturally diverse arrangements, both groups entertain and inspire with their performances. Vocal Point - Saturday, February 4
BYU’s captivating a cappella group entertains and inspires with every number they perform. As seen on NBC’s “The Sing-Off,” an a cappella group competition, Vocal Point brings audiences to their feet with their incredible showmanship and talent. This group of nine singers uses their voices to perform everything from complex harmonies to instrumental arrangements, making each performance creatively energetic.
Young Ambassadors - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, February 9-11
Since 1970, the Young Ambassadors have been entertaining families worldwide with their Broadway-styled performances. Bright costumes, clever choreography, impressive vocals, and a live show band mix together to create an unforgettable theatrical experience. Their featured show, Harmony: The Music of Liferepresents life’s major cornerstones by combining all these elements and using favorite radio hits and the best of Broadway.
Theatre Ballet - Friday, February 17
The Snow Queen is an original full-length ballet based on Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale of friends Gerda and Kai who take an enchanted journey from the rooftops of a Danish village to the snowy northern palace of the evil Snow Queen. As icy hearts melt, vision clears in this stunning story of loss, redemption, and love found anew. Theatre Ballet also cordially invites all to attend their Prince and Princess Party pre-show in the lobby at 7:00 p.m., where the young and young-at-heart can dress as princesses and princes, meet the ballet company, and take pictures right before this family-friendly performance. Motion, color, and sound blend together in the newest dance production, The Rhythm of Life. Through their emotional and expressive movements, dancers in the company connect the vigor and excitement of life and cultures around the world. Using new technology and unexpected props, the Contemporary Dance Theatre creates exciting performances full of touching stories and memorable surprises.

Tickets are required for this event. There is a limit of 10 tickets per order.
Beginning Tuesday, November 22, 2011, tickets can be obtained over the Internet or by calling 801-570-0080 (locally) or toll-free 1-866-537-8457 (1-866-LDS-TIKS) beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Based on availability, tickets can be obtained in person at the ticket office located at door 4 of the Conference Center Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
The ticket office is open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Evening performance and matinee performance tickets are $10.00.
There is a $1.50 convenience fee added to the cost of each ticket purchased over the Internet.

Children ages two (2) and older are welcome at all performances. No babies, please.
Ambulatory seating is available. Patrons who require such seating should inform the ticket office when they obtain tickets or inform Guest Services when they arrive at the event.
Patrons should not bring cameras or audio or video recording devices into the performance halls. Photographs are not permitted during the performance.
Sunday dress is encouraged.
Patrons should turn off pagers, cellular phones, and similar electronic devices during the performance.
Food and beverages are not permitted in performance halls.
Patrons may not bring packages or backpacks into performance halls.
Those attending the production should consider traffic congestion, plan to arrive early, and park in designated parking areas only. On the day of each performance, parking is available under the Conference Center. Please show your event ticket to the parking attendant upon leaving the parking garage.
The Conference Center Theater doors will open 60 minutes before each performance start time. Ticket holders are requested to be in their seats no later than 10 minutes before the performance begins.
The length of the performance is approximately two hours.
