Two released from the Seventy

After serving as General Authorities for 5 1/2 years, Elders Waldo P. Call and Helio R. Camargo were released Saturday afternoon as members of the Second Quorum of the Seventy.

Both were recently called as temple presidents. Elder Call is serving as president of the Mexico City Temple, and Elder Camargo as president of the Sao Paulo Temple in Brazil.They were called to the Seventy in April 1985.

Elder Call, born in Colonia Juarez, Mexico, has served as president and counselor in the South America South Area. Before his call as a General Authority, he served as president of the Uruguay Montevideo Mission, as a regional representative, stake president, bishop's counselor and missionary in the Mexican Mission.

A native of Resende, Brazil, Elder Camargo became the first Brazilian to be called as a General Authority. He has served as president and counselor in the Brazil Area presidency. He served as a regional representative, stake president, bishop, and counselor to two mission presidents before his call to the Seventy.
