''Labor of love,'' a Church video

"Labor of Love," a Church video featuring missionaries in their quest to share the gospel, has opened the doors for many missionaries to do just that.

Missionary Department spokesmen said the direct gospel message of the video, released in January, has been televised in many cities and will eventually be presented in all mission headquarter cities in the United States and Canada. And so far, four times as many non-members who view the production ask for missionaries to visit them as have occurred with previous videos.The video features the return home flight of a missionary who has completed two years' service in the West. While on the flight, he shares some experiences of his mission, via flashbacks, with a non-member in the next seat.

"The members like it, the missionaries like it, and from all indications, the non-members like it as well," said Sherman M. Crump, managing director of the missionary department.

He encouraged members to invite their non-member friends or relatives over to watch the video, or to loan them a copy to view in their own homes.

"It is really an introduction to missionaries and the first discussion."

He said that other such introductions with direct gospel messages are being telecast over national cable television,
