New president at Weber State

Paul H. Thompson, vice president of development and university relations at BYU, was named president of Weber State College in Ogden July 20.

Thompson, president of the BYU 9th Stake, will become the 10th president of Weber State on Sept. 1. He succeeds Stephen D. Nadauld, who resigned earlier this year to work at Bonneville Pacific Corp.Both Pres. Thompson and his wife, Carolyn, are former students of Weber State College, which will become Weber State University Jan. 1.

"He will make an outstanding university president, and I look forward to further work with him as a colleague, although in a different relationship," said BYU Pres. Rex E. Lee.
