The First Presidency has announced the calling of four more mission presidents. They and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Those called are:
Sheldon F. Child, 53, assigned to the New York New York Mission; Syracuse 2nd Ward, Syracuse Utah Stake; recently released as stake president, former stake president's counselor, bishop and counselor, elder's quorum president; president of home furnishings company; attended Utah State University and University of Utah; born in Ogden, Utah, a son of Mark Fay and Elda Viola Criddle Child; married Joan Haacke; six children. She is a Relief Society president, former Relief Society general board member, stake Relief Society counselor, stake and ward Young Women president, stake Primary counselor; born in Murray, Utah, a daughter of Karl James and Enid Mary Park Haacke.
J. Kent Jolley, 57, assigned to the Texas Corpus Christi Mission; Rexburg 11th Ward, Rexburg Idaho Center Stake; stake mission president, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, elder's quorum president, Young Men president, family to family Book of Mormon specialist; served in Argentine Mission, 1954-56; attorney; received bachelor's and juris doctorate degrees from George Washington University; born in Rexburg, Idaho, a son of William Afton Jolley (deceased) and Mildred Mangum Jolley Lawson; married Jill Waldram Leishman; seven children. She is a Primary teacher, former Relief Society president and counselor, Primary counselor, Young Women counselor, Relief Society teacher, ward and stake sports director; attended Ricks College; born in Boise, Idaho, a daughter of Owen Smith and Vanese Waldram Leishman.
Kiril P. Kiriakov, 68, assigned to the Bulgaria Sofia Mission; Manassas 1st Ward, Fairfax Virginia Stake; high priest secretary, former assistant to high priests group leader, stake missionary, stake clerk, ward financial clerk, branch clerk; retired; attended dental technical college; born in Preslav, Bulgaria, a son of Peter Kirov and Iova Ilieva Lozanova; married Nevenka Leonid Ilieva Garvanlieva; two children. She is ward magazine representative, former Relief Society chorister, stake missionary, Primary teacher, visiting teacher message leader, temple worker and translator for Church; attended University of Utah; born in Sofia, Bulgaria, a daughter of Leonid Iliev and Martha Mocano Garvanlieva.
Lloyd H. Richmond, 57, assigned to the Peru Lima North Mission; Jewell Ward, Lakewood Colorado Stake; Young Men president, former high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop and counselor, ward clerk, Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher; served mission in Argentina, 1954-57; director of regulatory affairs for regional phone company; received bachelor's degree from BYU, attended Northwestern University; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Harold Kimball and Eleanor Ruth Lloyd Richmond; married Julie Roberts; five children. She is activities committee member, former seminary teacher, stake Young Women president and counselor, ward Young Women president, Relief Society counselor and teacher, Sunday School teacher; secretary; attended BYU; born in Pocatello, Idaho, a daughter of David Llewellyn and Mary Eliza Crittenden Roberts.
