New callings and releases: Sunday School, Young Men leaders called

A new Sunday School general presidency was sustained during the Saturday afternoon session of conference, as well as two new counselors in the Young Men general presidency. All are members of the Seventy.

Sustained to the general presidency of the Sunday School were Elder Merlin R. Lybbert as president, and Elder Clinton L. Cutler and Elder Ronald E. Poelman as first and second counselors, respectively. Elder Cutler previously served as second counselor. Elder Hugh W. Pinnock previously served as Sunday School general president; he is now serving in the Europe North Area presidency and is living in England. The previous first counselor, Elder Hartman Rector Jr., is serving in the North America Central Area presidency and is an assistant executive director in the Family History Department.Sustained as first counselor in the Young Men general presidency was Elder Stephen D. Nadauld, and Elder L. Lionel Kendrick was sustained as second counselor. Elder Nadauld previously served as second counselor. The previous first counselor, Elder Robert K. Dellenbach, is now serving in the Europe Area presidency and is living in Germany.

Elder Jack H Goaslind is the Young Men general president.

Elder Lybbert, 66, was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in April 1989. He has served as president of the Asia Area, and is currently second counselor in the North America Northwest Area presidency.

Elder Cutler, 62, was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in March 1990. He is currently an assistant executive director in the Family History Department.

Elder Poelman, 64, was called to the First Quorum of the Seventy in April 1978. He has previously served in the Sunday School general presidency, has been a member of several area presidencies, and was an assistant executive director of the Family History Department. He is currently an assistant executive director of the Correlation Department.

Elder Nadauld, 50, was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in June 1991. He is currently in the North America Southeast Area presidency.

Elder Kendrick, 60, was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in 1988 and was later called into the First Quorum. He is currently a counselor in the North America Southeast Area.
