New stake presidencies

Elder Gene R. Cook of the Seventy created the Duran Ecuador North Stake, which includes the Eloy Alfaro, Los Cerezos, Penon del Rio, Ponton, Rio Amazonas, and Unidad Nacional wards, and the Primavera and Rio Babahoyo branches.

Elder Cook also created the Duran Ecuador South Stake, which includes the Duran, El Recreo, Ferroviaria, La Ribera, Rio Guayas, and Santay wards, and the Panorama Branch.Elder Julio E. Davila of the Seventy created the Iquitos Peru Punchana Stake, which includes the Clavero, Ganzo Azul, Mi Peru, Moronillo, and Punchana wards, and the Bellavista Branch.

Elder Davila also created the Lima Peru Villa Salvador Stake, which includes the Jose Galvez, Laderas De Villa, Tablada de Lurin, Villa El Salvador 1st, and Villa El Salvador 2nd wards.

The Puno Peru Stake was also created by Elder Davila. It includes the Huascar, Huayna Capac, Inca Pachacutec, Manco Capac, and Wiracocha wards, and the Amantani, Rinconada, Sinchi Roca, Tupac Amaru, and Tupac Yupanqui branches.

Elsewhere, stakes were reorganized in California, Idaho, and Utah, and in Ecuador, and Peru.

DURAN ECUADOR SOUTH STAKE: (May 31, 1992) Created from the Guayaquil Ecuador East Stake. President - Jimmy Winston Olvera Cabrera, 40,, former mission president's counselor, stake president and counselor, and bishop, married Leticia Chuchuca. Counselors - Carlos Enrique Clavijo Hidalgo, 44, manager of mill farms, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, and elders quorum instructor, married Gladys Hipatya Nivelo Clavijo; Pablo L. Loaiza Rapel, 35, odontologist, former high councilor, bishop, and Sunday School teacher, married Jacqueline Coello.

IQUITOS PERU PUNCHANA STAKE: (May 23, 1992) Created from the Iquitos Peru and Iquitos Peru Sachachorro stakes. President - Alfonso Federico Rojas Rocca, 34, taxi owner and driver, former high councilor, bishop's counselor, and ward clerk, married Aurora Trujillo Simon. Counselors - Erwin Valderrama Panduro, 31, hospital technician, former stake president's counselor, bishop, ward mission leader, and elders quorum president, married Maria Trinidad Lemos Rios; Ramon Pena Encinas, 40, director of regional government statistics, former high councilor, bishop, elders quorum president, and institute instructor, married Hidelsa Grandez Paredes.

LIMA PERU VILLA SALVADOR STAKE: (May 31, 1992) Created from the Lima Peru Villa Maria and Lima Peru San Juan stakes. President - Victor N. Tello Anicama, 42, personnel manager, former high councilor, married Maria Isabel Lopez Cueto. Counselors
