The depiction of Christopher Columbus on the cover was produced in 1976 by the Church as one in a series of seven posters commemorating the bicentennial of the United States. The posters by artist Larry Winborg portray God's hand in the founding of America.
This year marks the quincentennial of Columbus' 1492 voyage. An article on page 7 gives a gospel perspective to his voyage, and a feature on pages 8-9 tell of the Church in the largest city in America that's named after Columbus.POSTER, LDS CHURCH
