The First Presidency has announced the call of eight more mission presidents. The new presidents and their wives will be assigned to a specific mission later and will begin their service about July 1. Those called are:
Rene J. Cabrera B., 41, Miraflores Ward, La Paz Bolivia Miraflores Stake; mission president's counselor, former mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, and elders quorum president; served in Bolivia Cochabamba Mission, 1983-1985; regional manager for Bolivia Area Office; earned bachelor's degree from Miguel de Cervantes College and attended the University of Mayo de San Andres; born in Catavi-Potosi, Bolivia, a son of Juan Cabrera Fernandez and Alcira Balanza de Cabrera; married Teresa Perales Vizcarra, two children. She is a Sunday School teacher, former Relief Society president and instructor, and Primary teacher; teacher at Liceo Tecnico Uruguay; earned bachelor's degree from Miguel de Cervantes College and master's degree from Tecnica Superior Normal School; born in La Paz, Bolivia, a daughter of Celestino Perales Trino and Ecilda de Vizcarra.Gene B. Holley Fryer, 64, Olympus 1st Ward, Salt Lake Olympus Stake; gospel doctrine teacher, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, high priests group leader, and elders quorum president; chairman of the board for automotive filter company; earned bachelor's degree from the University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Lathael Leonane and Florence McDonald Fryer; married Marna Lou Callister, seven children.
