A BYU student film director shared a potter's belief that the art of simple living is what really counts and created a work that has received a $10,000 prize.
Stephen W. Olpin, a senior in film won the Crystal Heart award at the recent Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis. His entry, "The Potter's Meal," focuses on the life of Joseph Bennion, a small-town potter who has made pottery in Spring City, Utah, since 1974.The Crystal Heart recognizes "filmmakers whose work explores the human journey by artistically expressing hope and respect for the positive values of life."
