FRESNO CALIFORNIA WEST STAKE: (Sept. 26, 1993) President - James R. Maxwell, 44, self-employed in agribusiness, succeeding Gary R. Fogg; former stake president's counselor, bishop, assistant ward clerk, elders quorum president, activities co-chairman, Blazer leader, and Scoutmaster, married C. Kristine Clegg. Counselors - Jeffrey G. Boswell, 44, law firm partner, former high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop and counselor, ward mission leader, priests quorum adviser, and Scoutmaster, married Shirley Sue Jensen; C. NEWPORT NEWS VIRGINIA STAKE: (Sept. 5, 1993) President - Jay A. Carey, Jr., 43, Newport News police chief, succeeding Michael Peter Nolan; former stake president's counselor, stake executive secretary, stake Young Men president, assistant stake clerk, bishop and counselor, married Patricia Kay Coleman; Counselors - A. Lyle Hughes, 55, U.S. Army foreign government program training manager, former high councilor, stake mission president, bishop, ward clerk, district president's counselor, and Sunday School teacher, married Frances Anne Karpinski; Larry K.
