New chairwoman is appointed for Women's Conference at BYU

Jeanne Bryan Inouye, a member of the Relief Society General Board from 1982-84, is the new chairwoman of the Women's Conference at Brigham Young University, according to BYU Pres. Rex E. Lee.

Sister Inouye replaces Carol Lee Hawkins, who has accepted a one-year appointment with the BYU College of Education to assist in planning the College's 75th anniversary celebration in 1996."We want to continue the discussion of issues important to women in a gospel-centered context," said Sister Inouye, who will be working under the direction of BYU and the Relief Society general presidency in coordinating the annual event.

The next Women's Conference is scheduled for April 29-30, 1994.
