Aaronic Priesthood quorum presidents are given the keys to administer the affairs of the quorums over which they preside. They are the active, directing heads of the quorums. . . .
Each Aaronic Priesthood quorum president is to "teach [the quorum membersT the duties of their office, as is given in the covenants." (See D&C 107:85-87.)These duties include the specific responsibilities and assignments given to the different Aaronic Priesthood offices, obeying the commandments, and applying the principles of the gospel. Quorum presidencies should welcome new quorum members into the quorum and orient them to their duties and assignments.
