If the 163rd Annual General Conference were to have had a theme, it might have been the opening words to an LDS hymn: "The Spirit of God like a fire is burning." Following President Gordon B. Hinckley's Sunday morning address on the Salt Lake Temple and its centennial, the Tabernacle Choir sang "The Hosanna Anthem" as the congregation joined in singing "The Spirit of God."
This issue contains reports of conference addresses as well as other highlights: the calls of five Brethren to the First Quorum of the Seventy, including two new General Authorities, and announcements pertaining to temples.
