Whenever possible, young women with mental, physical, cultural, language, emotional, social, or learning disabilities should be included and enrolled in the regular Young Women classes. Exceptions may be made with the approval of the parents, priesthood, and Young Women leaders. As far as possible, these young women should have the same opportunities as the others for growth, friendship, and recognition. Great benefits can also come to other young women in the class as they associate with, befriend, and understand a young woman with special needs. An orientation lesson could help prepare the young women to love, accept, and help those with special needs.
