Chieko Okazaki, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, was awarded Ricks College's Exemplary Womanhood Award during the college's annual Women's Week fireside.
Sister Okazaki was honored during the March 28 fireside "because she exemplifies a woman who seeks for the best in all aspects of her life," said Kris Fillmore, adviser to the Women's Office that sponsors Women's Week.Sister Okazaki was presented the award by Ricks College Pres. Steven D. Bennion before her address to students and their mothers.
Prior to her call as a counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, Sister Okazaki served on the Primary general board and the YWMIA general board.
