Plan activities early and thoroughly. Consider the special needs of children, the elderly, the disabled, and people with medical problems.
Use copies of the Activity Plan, found on page 9 of the Activities Committee Handbook, for all overnight activities and any travel out of the local area. Have parents help plan activities for children and youth and always inform all parents whose children are involved about such activities. Parents should sign a copy of the Parental Permission and Medical Release form, found on page 10. The activity leader should have a signed permission slip for each participant so medical treatment can be given by health care providers in case of an emergency.Use only appropriate transportation. . . .
