Three posters developed by Ricks College Graphic Services and printed by the Ricks College Press were given national awards by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) at its annual conference March 15-19 in San Antonio, Texas.
NCMPR is the only organization in the country devoted exclusively to marketing and public relations in community, junior and technical colleges.Receiving the first place Paragon Award in the Poster I Division was the drama production poster of "Odyssey." Former Ricks College student Nathan Fowkes of Coalinga, Calif., was the artist. Ricks College also placed second in the Poster I Division with the poster for the drama production "Seven Keys to Baldpate." Ricks student Brian Memmott of Independence, Mo., was the artist. In addition, Tye Bergeson of Ashton, Idaho, and Brian collaborated on a poster for Ricks College Food Services and its student meal plan. The poster captured second place in the Poster II Division.
Some 500 institutions of higher learning are members of NCMPR.
