A record 536 degrees were awarded to graduates of Ricks College during summer graduation ceremonies May 28.
The 1,988 diplomas awarded at the April graduation ceremonies brought the total number of Ricks College degrees given out this year to 2,524, the largest number in the school's history.The 536 degrees awarded May 28 is an increase over last year's 507 degrees.
Robert Wilkes, chairman of the division of education, was the graduation speaker for the May 28 ceremonies in the Hart Auditorium. Ricks Pres. Steven D. Bennion also addressed the graduates.
