A thought from the scriptures

Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;

For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.But he that doeth not anything until he is commanded, and receiveth a commandment with doubtful heart, and keepeth it with slothfulness, the same is damned. - D&C 58:27-29

"The direction in which we are moving is more important than where we are at the moment," said Elder Marvin J. Ashton of the Council of the Twelve during the October 1983 general conference. "Goal setting should cause us to stretch as we make our way.

" . . . Realize that God will judge you by the way you make use of all your possibilities. It is wise and proper to want to make the most of every opportunity, but don't quit or weep because of failure or disappointments. Break down big commitments into smaller ones that you can handle."
