"Emotional Abuse" is the title of a new half-hour radio program, produced by the Church's Public Affairs Department, which has been sent to radio stations, counseling centers and community interest groups throughout the nation.
The program is produced as part of "Times and Seasons," an award-winning series of 30-minute public affairs radio programs dealing with important moral and social issues." Emotional Abuse' examines what experts callpsychological maltreatment,' especially in a family context," explained L. Gerald Pond, producer of the series. "It reviews the various types of emotional abuse and the prevalence of this type of abuse in society."
Bruce L. Olsen, managing director of the Public Affairs Department, said, "We hope this program and other Church-produced materials will be useful in preventing, treating and dealing with abuse."
