Married 74 years ago on Aug. 15, 1919, in the Logan Temple, and they lived in Salt Lake City and in Idaho where he sold insurance and real estate. Later, they moved to Kanab, Utah, where he operated a stage line and worked for the U.S Forest Service. He first registered as a Scout in 1910. He also helped organize the first Mutual Athletic Organization in the Church, forerunner of today's basketball program. He is a former national commander of the modern Mormon Battalion. She was an accomplished dancer and singer and often performed in choirs, and held various offices in the auxiliaries. Members of the Kanab, Utah, 2nd Ward. Parents of three children, they have 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
