New stake presidencies

The Cochabamba Bolivia Los Alamos Stake was created by Elder William R. Bradford of the Seventy, and includes the La Chimba, Los Alamos, Manaco, Sarco, Villa Moderna, Vinto wards and the Bella Vista branch.

Elder James E. Faust of the Council of the Twelve has created the Contagem Brazil Stake, which includes the Barreiro, Betim, Contagem, Nova Cidade, Sete Lagoas wards and the Divinopolis, and Riacho branches.The Tuxtepec Mexico Stake, which includes the Carlos A. Carrillo, Loma Bonita, Tierra Blanca 1st, Tierra Blanca 2nd, Tuxtepec 1st, Tuxtepec 2nd wards and the Ciudad Aleman, Cosamaloapan, and Tres Valles branches has been created by Elder F. Melvin Hammond of the Seventy.

Elsewhere stakes were reorganized in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, and Venezuela and in Idaho.

COCHABAMBA BOLIVIA LOS ALAMOS STAKE: (May 16, 1993) Created from the Cochabamba Bolivia Cobija and Cochabamba Bolivia Universidad stakes. President - J. Ruben Rivero Zeballos, 54, physician, former elders quorum president and branch president's counselor, married Irma Callejas Chavez. Counselors - Hiberman Ricaldi Oroza, 38, courier, former stake missionary, bishop, ward family history consultant, married Florencia Elizabeth Illanes Flores; Gonzalo Luis Camacho Moya, 31, sales agent, former mission president's counselor, and bishop and counselor, married Lanopska Vigueras Oropeza.

CONTAGEM BRAZIL STAKE: (June 6, 1993) Created from the Contagem Brazil and Sete Lagos Brazil districts. President - Evandro Chevitarese Parada, 34, engineer, former district president, elders quorum president, ward and branch clerk, married Silvia Leite. Counselors - Osvaldo Pereira Cruz, 53, military police officer, former district president's counselor, branch president and counselor, and Young Men president, married Maria De Luz Silva; Edson Donizete Gongalves Ribeiro, 24, sales agent, former district president, district mission president, and branch president and counselor, married Rosalia Delfino.

TUXTEPEC MEXICO STAKE: (June 6, 1993) Created from the Tierra Blanca Mexico District. President - Marcelo Valis Medina, 30, construction material transporter business owner, former district president and counselor, and branch president, married Ana Maria Olivares Flores. Counselors - Alfredo Velazquez Cardona, 43, pastry shop owner, former high councilor, district president, and branch president, married Leila Ruth Alonso Castillo; Tomas Medina Cuevas, 44, school administrator, former high councilor, district president's counselor, and branch president and counselor, married Maria Esther Chavez Borjon.
