Royal L. Garff, a member of the General Board of the Young Men Mutual Improvement Association (YMMIA) during the 1950s, died Oct. 17, 1994, at his home in Salt Lake City. Brother Garff, 90, was also a board member for the Cancer Society for 25 years and was a professor emeritus of speech and marketing at the University of Utah where he taught for 32 years.
